Mickey Birthday Party

I cannot believe my sweet little baby is TWO!!!  Someone stop the clock.  Please.

For my little one's big day, there was no question as to what the theme would be...he is completely obsessed with all things Mickey (...and Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Pete- you get the idea!).  So the planning for the MICKEY BIRTHDAY began.  I definitely wanted to keep this party on a budget and was so proud to say that most items were handmade by yours truly!

The obvious color scheme throughout the party was black, red and yellow.

The invitation

seriously- how cute is he?  (thank you to My Mimi Made It for the adorable shirt!)

I wanted the kids to all have their own Mickey Ears, but I couldn't find any that I liked at a good price, so I improvised!  I grabbed some tiara party head bands from The Dollar Store and used the base to make my own.

Hand painted cardboard letters from Hobby Lobby to mimic the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang.  My favorite part of this was when I finished my little one recognized who they were without me prompting me- proud moment for me!

I designed and printed the water bottle labels, and of course - we HAD to have paper straws, they are a must these days.

Favors:
I was so excited to find bowls (4 for $1) at The Dollar Tree.  I cut out Mickey Icons from vinyl and put them around the entire bowl.  Filled the bowl with goodies (bubbles, play dough, stickers, fruit snacks, candy) and finished it off with a homemade thank you tag.

Superhero 1st Birthday

My sweet Sawyer Keath turned one!  An entire year has gone by way too quickly.  With so many ideas out there, I couldn't decide on a theme...so I left it up to my husband and 9 year old son.  SURPRISE!!!  They picked (cue the drumroll please)...  SUPERHERO

Planning was a lot of fun! It was so easy to pick the color scheme: red, yellow, blue and black & white polka dot.

Star Wars Birthday Party

For my son's 9th birthday party he wanted a Star Wars themed sleepover. I have a week old baby and am still adjusting to his sleeping/eating schedule, so I felt like this party was a little thrown together. Still I was happy with the results, and most importantly my son was EXTREMELY satisfied. My husband even got into the planning with me once I told him some of my ideas...he is still a kid at heart!

All of the children received a lightsaver made out of a pool noodle.  Logan loved this favor because he helped make them.
